Made My Day!!

There is a sweet, sweet lady who works at Nick's orphanage who sent me an e-mail to let me know that they celebrated his birthday today with a cake and candle. She sent me a few pictures, showing him with his cake and some balloons. She also sent a little video of him playing with his favorite toy and another of him while the teachers and other children sang, "Happy Birthday."

I am just so very thankful - what a gift!

Happy Birthday to our Boy!!

Today is Nick's birthday. He is turning 7 years old today. This is his 7th birthday in the orphanage. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for the people who take care of him each day. I also cannot tell you enough that I am so glad that this should be his LAST birthday in the orphanage!!! 1 year ago today, our commitment papers arrived in his country. Now, we are waiting for 1 more signature on our file, then we can be submitted for a court date! We are getting so very close!

Please pray for Nick today, on his birthday. Please pray for all of the orphans of the world today, for their needs to be met. Please be willing to ACT on their behalf in obedience to whatever God would have you do.

Article 5 Letter Issued

Our attorney has the Article 5 letter! It must be translated/authenticated before being submitted to the MOJ. That will take about 4 business days.
Please pray in advance that we will be assigned an adoption-friendly judge!

Interview - done!

Our attorney had the interview at the embassy for the provisional filing of Nick's visa today. The interview went well, and they have a 5 day window to issue the article 5 letter. This is like speaking a foreign language to most of you, but it means progress! I love progress. We have 3 more steps until our attorney can submit for a court date.

1. Article 5 letter.
2. Get a signature on our file from the MOJ (Minister of Justice).
3. Get another signature from someone else at the MOJ office.

It has been 59 days since we last held our little boy!
